Pond Update
It rained on Sunday, so the pond had to be pumped out again on Monday, before work could continue.

We were lucky with the weather on Monday, so the pond was completely emptied, the new liner laid and fitted round the two pipes, and the fish, who suffered one loss over night (the largest one got eaten by a neighbour’s cat while they were temporarily in a large plastic container next to the pond), were returned to the pond by Monday evening. There’s still a bit to do, but the worst of the work is over now. The trees have now been trimmed back on both sides of the pond, which gives a lot more light, and should reduce the number of leaves which land in the water considerably.
