But the actual meal was not traditional, as we are vegetarian: beansprout salad, baked Dorade with walnut sauce and brocolli followed by home-made Xmas pudding. But M&S and Harrods' puds (which we can get at FRA airport, but which are expensive) are both very good. M&S pulling out of Europe was a big mistake (and a pity, as we used to do a lot of food shopping at M&S in Frankfurt), we think - but then they have made a lot of mistakes in the last 2-3 years. We used to have shares in M&S, but their marketing direction became so erratic, that we sold them as soon as we could without making a loss... We had ours on Christmas Day, as in the UK. Christmas Eve German-style - just the 4 of us eating Raclette after the prezzys. Christmas day stuffed turkey UK-style (parents- & brother-in-laws joined us) followed by a 2-pound M&S Christmas pud. My son ate the rest the next day (of the pud) Our Christmas went just like recent ones (smoothly & no disasters).
